Dundas Little Theatre (DLT) is looking for dynamic and skilled instructors for our Drama Club, designed for children aged 7 to 13. This is a paid position that offers you the chance to inspire the next generation of performers.

About the Role

We’re seeking enthusiastic and talented instructors to lead our seven-week theatre program for children. This role is an incredible opportunity to apply your theatrical skills in a teaching environment, fostering creativity, teamwork and a love for the performing arts among young students.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plan(s) that cover the basics of theatre, character building, scene exploration, and more.
  • Lead classes with energy and enthusiasm, creating a supportive and inspiring environment for students.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage personal growth and confidence.
  • Collaborate with DLT staff and other instructors to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive educational experience.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of the final performance, guiding students through rehearsals to showcase their talents.
