Submissions are due April 15.

Role of a Producer

We’re looking for energetic and organized people who can help oversee all aspects of a production, from the initial planning stages to the final performance. It’s an important role that requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the work we do as a theatre company.

Want to know more about what’s involved? Read our producer job description.

Who Can Apply

This is an open call, and anyone can apply.

You do not need to be a current member of Dundas Little Theatre (but you will be asked to become a member if you are selected).

Please note this is a volunteer position.

The qualifications listed in the job description are ideal, but we’re also flexible. If you’re keen to learn and think you have what it takes, please apply!

How to Apply

The first step is to submit a written application package. This should include:

Your Resume

This doesn’t have to be a theatre resume. It should demonstrate your skills and experience in the areas outlined in the job description.

Cover Letter

This is your opportunity to highlight your most important skills, tell us about any theatre experience you may have, and make your case for why you’d make a great producer or assistant producer. Let us know if you have a preference for which production you’d like to work on, too.

These should be sent to our Production Coordinator over email by April 15. Please send your application to

The second step is meeting with the board of directors to discuss your experience and reasons you should be chosen to produce one of the shows. Only select applicants will be chosen for this stage.

If you have any questions about the application process or the job itself please contact our Production Coordinator, Val, at
