The Play: Little Bird, Little Bird

It’s May 1998 in a hospital room at Henderson Hospital on Concession Street in Hamilton.

Mrs. Clarke has been admitted with complications from her Parkinson’s diagnosis and her dysfunctional family descends upon the shared hospital room.

Her roommate Dorothy has her own issues and family dysfunction to deal with and in the centre of it all the intolerant and sometimes naughty nurse intrudes on the scene.

Will there be any toilet paper left in the end? Will Dorothy get her coffee?

Little Bird, Little Bird is a two-act show, running roughly 120 minutes including an intermission.

The Playwright: Mike Mitton

Mike Mitton is originally a Hamiltonian who spent many years in Vancouver where he owned and ran a successful restaurant. Upon returning home, he relocated to Oakville and now focuses on acting, directing and writing. He performs regularly both on stage and in television.
